Job Summary

Human Resources provides support in identifying and driving initiatives to support a positive culture and assist management and employees in understanding and applying major goals and objectives of the Company. The goal is to maximize employee performance and effectiveness, retain employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance. Services provided may include employee relations, recruitment and employee engagement, compensation, benefits, training, and special projects. Human Resources provides supervision to the Company’s Administrative Support Staff.

Administrative Support Staff Supervision

Provides supervision of the Tax Department’s Administrative Support Staff to achieve maximum productivity and engagement.

  • Assess staffing needs and responsibilities
  • Develops procedures and policies for administrative activities related to internal operations
  • Manages employee time reporting
  • Daily time input into VPM and appropriate time sheets
  • Review & report to Department Heads

 

HR Management

  • Executes established goals and ensures that human resource policies support and complement Company strategies and goals.
  • Provides expertise, consultation and coaching to Partners, Managers and Employees in areas of people management, including career development and performance feedback and all aspects of progressive discipline and documentation.
  • Analyzes wage, salary and benefit programs to ensure competitiveness. Recommends wage adjustments based on objective data regarding competition, profitability, business conditions, and the economic environment.
  • Provides advice and interpretation regarding human resource policies as they relate to individuals and to Company objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal labor laws and regulatory requirements.

 

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to identify prospective candidates
  • Coordinates website recruiting
  • Maintains a competitive and standardized internship program.
  • Interviews, reference checks, background checks
  • Ensures a positive onboarding experience for new hires

 

Employee Engagement

  • Promotes positive company culture and monitors organizational pulse.
  • Assists with career development and planning
  • Creates and monitors platform for employee recognition and rewards.

 

Benefits Management

  • Directs and implements various benefit programs including group health coverage, COBRA administration, 401k, PTO, leaves of absences, and workers’ compensation.
  • Monitors competitiveness, cost effectiveness, and appropriate service.
  • Ensures compliance to applicable laws and regulations
  • Provides communication to employees and assist with issues or concerns.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Works with Controller to ensure the compliance and proper processing of Payroll.

Education and Experience

  • At least 8 years of human resource operations experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the United States

 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to discern and exchange information with co-workers and clients.
  • Position requires extensive work on computers for long periods of time; an individual should be able to sit and/or use a standing desk 75% of the time.
  • Operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as, printer, copy machine, and phone.
  • Light lifting may be required to move or carry files and documents; usually less than 15 lbs.
