David joined Wright Ford Young & Co. in 2004 after obtaining a Business Administration degree with an Accounting emphasis from California State University, Fullerton. He quickly developed a passion for working with high-net-worth families on their taxes, including family partnerships, estates, trusts, private foundations, as well as their personal income taxes. He has extensive experience with elaborate estate planning structures and reporting requirements for various alternative investments, including hedge funds, venture funds, fund of funds, options, and foreign investments. Over time he has become actively involved in estate planning, charitable planning, tax consulting, and overseeing family office functions for his clients.
David obtained a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) from the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB), a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association (ABA). He is also currently pursuing a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation. He is a member of the Orange County Chapters of both the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) and Financial Planning Association (FPA).
David, a third-generation native of Orange County, resides in Costa Mesa with his wife and son. David stays active trying to keep up with his energetic son. He enjoys spending time with his family, going on walks/hikes, has a passion for doing jigsaw puzzles, and loves to do anything that allows him to organize.
