Cyndi LeBerthon, CPA

Cyndi joined Wright Ford Young & Co in 2018 as an audit partner. As Senior Audit Partner, she currently serves as the partner in charge for the audit department. Cyndi also oversees the firm’s peer review practice. She is responsible for overseeing audits, reviews and compilations and ensuring compliance with quality control standards.

Cyndi began her career in public accounting in 2003, after spending 10 years in private practice. Cyndi’s audit and assurance experience includes working with closely-held and private companies and believes that her clients deserve more out of an audit than just the financial statements, but should also be provided with suggestions for possible improvements to processes and establishing transaction methods.
Cyndi has extensive experience in Employee Benefit Plan audits and ERISA regulations, and the unique compliance issues related to employee benefit plans. She stresses compliance with plan provisions and ERISA, and has audits 401(k), 403(b), ESOP, and Pension plans and has been a featured speaker at a variety of seminars, including the Western Pension & Benefits Council.
Cyndi has been performing peer reviews of other CPA firms for more than 10 years, and works with firms throughout California and Arizona to improve their audit practice.

Cyndi and her husband enjoy spending time in Napa and attending Angels’ baseball games.
Cyndi is the former Chair of the Peer Review Committee of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a current member of the Peer Review Committee and serves on their administrative committee. She is a past board member of Orange County Compensation and Benefits Association. Through Wright Ford Young & Co.’s charitable giving program, Cyndi is involved and remains an active contributor to numerous organizations throughout Orange County.
