In January, Wright Ford Young & Co. welcomed five new hires to our audit department and tax department. Allen Song joined our audit department, and Julio Mendoza, Collette Kim, Noah Scruggs, and Felix Tjong joined our tax department. We are thrilled to have these new additions to our firm. Welcome to the WFY team!
Allen Song
At the beginning of January, Allen Song joined our audit department as our newest Audit Manager. He graduated from Biola University and has been in public accounting for over 9 years. Before joining WFY, Allen previously worked at a nationwide firm. Outside of the office, Allen likes playing basketball and golf.
Julio Mendoza
Julio Mendoza joined WFY in January as our newest Tax Staff. He graduated from CSU Fullerton last Fall semester. In 2023, Julio left the Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS), a government non-profit organization within the Armed Services, as a Financial Management Technician/Non-Commissioned Office In-Charge (NCOIC). Julio left the Armed Services as a Staff Sergeant (E-6) after 10 years. During his spare time, Julio enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his wife, Samantha.
Collette Kim
This month, Collette Kim started as one of our Tax Interns in our tax department for the upcoming tax season. She currently attends CSU Fullerton as a senior. She’ll receive her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Collette has had various retail jobs, but this is her first job within her desired career. While she’s not in the office, Collette loves crafting.
Noah Scruggs
Noah Scruggs joined WFY as one of our Tax Interns in our tax department. Noah is currently a Senior at CSU Fullerton and will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting this Fall. This is Noah’s first accounting internship and is excited to learn through this upcoming tax season. He will also be volunteering with VITA to provide free tax help to low-income families. In his free time, Noah likes watching movies and traveling with friends.
Felix Tjong
In January, Felix Tjong started as a Tax Intern in our tax department. Felix is currently studying at CSU Fullerton and expecting to graduate this Spring semester. This is his second accounting internship, with his first being back in high school, and he’s exciting to learn more about the practices of a CPA firm. Felix’s hobbies include listening to podcasts and reading books. Fun fact: Felix is tri-lingual and speaks fluent English, Mandarin, & Bahasa!
