Wright Ford Young & Co. is pleased to welcome seven new hires to our firm in June and July. Andrew Abeyta, Robert Lee, Caleb Short, Xiaoli Shu, Daniel Sur, and Esther Wood joined our tax department. Cora Hultgren joined our audit department. We are thrilled to have these new hires join our WFY team.
In July, Andrew Abeyta rejoined our firm as a Tax Senior. He graduated from CSUF and is currently in the process of studying for his CPA license. While out of the office, Andrew loves teaching at church and surfing at the Huntington Beach pier.
At the end of June, Robert Lee joined as Tax Staff to our tax department. He graduated from UCSB with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Accounting. Robert’s experience in the accounting industry includes working mostly in construction, real estate, and retail clients for a little under two years. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, taking his dogs to the beach, and rooting for the LA Lakers.
Caleb Short joined WFY’s tax department as Tax Staff in July. He received his Bachelor’s degree at CSULB in Accounting and received his Master’s degree at BIOLA University in Professional Accounting. During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as well as playing videogames.
In mid-July, Cora Hultgren joined WFY’s audit department as Audit Staff. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from CSUF. Cora has over two years of accounting experience.
Xiaoli Shu joined WFY’s tax department in the beginning of July. Xiaoli joined as one of our three Tax Interns for our next tax season. Xiaoli is currently attending CSUF as a senior and will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting soon. Outside of the office, Xiaoli enjoys traveling and hiking.
In the beginning of July, Daniel Sur joined our firm’s tax department as a Tax Intern. Daniel is currently a MSA graduate student at CSUF and expected to graduate and obtain CPA eligibility in Spring 2022. For his experience, Daniel has worked in rental housing and electronics manufacturing and distribution. In his spare time, Daniel likes spending time with his family and friends as well as volunteering at his local church.
Esther Woo joined WFY as a Tax Intern at the beginning of July. She is currently a senior at CSUF and working on her major in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. During her free time, Esther enjoys taking her dog to the beach.
