Bill joined Wright Ford Young & Co. in 2026 when his firm, Bill Torres & Company, merged with WFY. He provides clients with public accounting, taxation, and financial advisory services.

Professional Experience

Since beginning his career in 1985, Bill Torres has advised individuals, closely held businesses, fiduciaries, and estates on complex domestic and international tax matters, with deep expertise in compliance, planning, controversy, and transactional consulting.

His experience includes representing taxpayers before federal and state taxing authorities, serving as an expert witness in civil litigation, and advising legal counsel on tax-efficient settlement strategies and transaction structures. He also provides planning in cross-border and estate matters.

Prior to joining Wright Ford Young, Bill founded and operated his own firm for 30 years. Earlier in his career, he practiced in accounting and auditing at Coopers & Lybrand, serving clients in the manufacturing, financial, and retail sectors, and later joined Kenneth Leventhal & Company, where he focused on the tax aspects of real estate development and operations. He has played a key role in guiding clients through mergers, acquisitions, and complex business transitions.

Bill has been active in community and professional initiatives throughout his career and has received recognition from organizations including the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and the Latin Business Association.
